Poem #271

the chill is here
we bustle from building
to building
wrapping jackets tightly
around our bodies
fabric’s weight is comfort
the occasional red leaf
city worker bobs with his truck
small white feather floats down
we are ready for indoors

Poem #267

starburst glitter
purple and blue
a floating feeling
the best is here
awe and admiration
precipice of greatness
could fall
but don’t care
teeter over danger
sparkling somersault
stick the landing
legendary

Poem #264

amble around the living room
listen to sad songs
talk about our lives
suck on lollipops

switch the music up
imagine our successes
dance like old men
make plans for fun

do our model walks
fall onto the couch
watch the reflections of us
feel like we’re the only ones
