The Friendship Ruse

by Georgia Tell
(Book 1 of the Just Kidding Series)

If you like funny, witty and gay ya novellas, you should definitely check it out! I’m already writing the 2nd book, and it will be published in Summer 2018.

Warren isn’t what you’d call “cool.” He doesn’t have a lot of what you’d call “friends.” Or any friends at all, actually. But being a high school outcast doesn’t bother Warren much. He has enough fun playing Call of Duty and trolling the most popular girl at school.

However, when Kid, a chiseled Greek god of a high school football player, moves into the neighborhood, Warren suddenly finds himself with a social life. Eager to dangle his handsome new acquaintance in front of a popular girl, Warren makes a misstep that jeopardizes his first friendship in years.

Kid was his friend, right? Do friends conspire to play practical jokes that trick their whole school into believing a ruse? Do friends have this many rules? Do friends… kiss?

witchbloods coverWitchbloods

by Georgia Tell

A complacent senior witch must team up with a trigger-happy, anti-magic human to survive a literal witch hunt in modern day Los Angeles, while a 12 year old fairy boy discovers his stance on the treachery of his family and the fairy court.

~

Sylvia Hargrove is an elderly witch who has her life just the way she likes it: labeled, private, and sterile. When her unfriendly but watchful neighbor informs her of fairies that have come to town to hunt witchbloods for their powerful, magic-producing souls, Sylvia must rally her fellow witches in order to somehow survive. Quickly, it becomes apparent to Sylvia that their survival will require her to put aside her lifelong moral commitment to pacifism to become the leader her community needs her to be. The witches can’t drive out of L.A. – they narrowly avoid a car accident on the highway. They can’t hide – the fairies find them without fail. And they definitely can’t wait, because the fairies get stronger with every witchblood they kill. All that’s left is to… ask for immunity from the Fairy Court itself? Sylvia and her band of survivors are just desperate enough to follow an internet rumor into the heart of the Fairy Court. Armed with their wits, some hastily-learned battle magic and one human with a gun, they charge towards a hard-won and bittersweet victory.

Thom, a 12-year-old fairy boy, is the grandson of an influential fairy Queen and potential heir to the family’s mining empire. When his parents bring him along to Court in Los Angeles to learn more about the Harvest, he hates it and just wants to go home to climb trees, where he doesn’t have to worry about Court niceties. However, after watching his mother attack an unsuspecting and vulnerable witch, he begins for the first time to question the methods of the fairies – and to question his loyalties.

Brady is generally too distracted by his own romantic feelings for his friend. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s gay. He really doesn’t want to be gay.

When Flynn — the preppy rich kid in student government — tries to be Tanner’s new best friend, Brady is forced to face what his feelings for Tanner mean about his own sexuality.

Chapbooks

you think I’m serious, but I’m joking

by Georgia Tell
(Debut Chapbook)

you think I’m serious, but I’m joking is a collection of poetry that details the process of becoming bent, from three angles: public, private, and somewhere very different. Everything is not as you see it, but sometimes a rainbow is refracted after rain.
