Poem #556

Ms. Ann Marie Eager
wears a dress in the forest
leading her doe on animal trails
they come across a chest
Ms. Eager drags it back home
and carefully pries off the hinges
inside is treasure beyond imagination
Ms. Eager smiles at her doe
“You’re thinking what I’m thinking?”
and they bury it in the forest
she draws a map
scatters the pieces
and never looks for it again
