Poem #661

dance until trance
feeling the strength
in hands and legs
floating to a plane
of non-existing bliss
no one is here
hair whipping in face
brain tingling
delightful transcendence
dance until legs give out
past when the music quiets
when it’s no longer dance
poetry and mind take over
ecstasy through movement

Poem #259

thrust limbs in all directions
move hips in a circular pattern
whip hair back and forth
get dizzy and fall onto the bed
raise arms into the air
dance while holding them up there
push off the bed like a hinge
stand on tiptoes and look down
revel in the towering tall
never be sad ever again
even though that’s impossible
